Those pesky ecsb 2wds!
It will run better NA but like Luke said, its not worth it. You have to upgrade your fuel lines, fuel pump, and injectors.. Which that will get expensive real quick. Personally I like running it just because it burns cleaner, gets rid of the nasty gas smell, is cheaper, and my truck runs a lot better on it.
Don't forget Luke, oh and it burns a lot cooler.. Makes everything cooler under the hood.
In conjunction with what you've said here, something a lot of people don't understand about octane ratings is the higher the octane, the harder it is to burn. If you add a straight water injection on your vehicle (sans methanol), your octane rating goes up by about 10 points. Remember water doesn't burn (duh), so this makes sense. Thought I'd add.
I run E85 on my 05 avi and love it. It made the engine run smoother and snappier. It smells alot better and I only lost 1-2 mpg in town and its .70 to .75 cents cheaper a gallon.
One thing I wonder is can any of the tuners make a tune that retains the flex fuel capabilities and adds power with gas or e85 without having to change anything.
You know it's actually more expensive here for E85 than it is for petro? There is one station in the neighborhood (another one north of here about 40 miles). Huge sign out front showing E85 about $.05-.10 more expensive per gallon, depending on the day.
