I appreciate the boost of confidence. By the way, intake tube and air filter box arrived. Still need a MAF and the rubber pieces with the hose clamps in order to secure them to the intake and air filter housing. Not sure if I mentioned it before but I swapped the pass. side exhaust manifold for a non-egr unit. I want to make sure that I have the room for the a/c relocation kit.

OEM harness has been removed completely in order to thin out the wires that I will no longer need. The new harness is in and plugged in for the most part. My harness was cut so I'll have to patch up some of the wires.
I'll post pics soon.

My apologies for the lack of updates. As of right now it sits as it did on my last update. My friend and I had to come back to the truck and double-check the wires before they were to be removed completely from the harness. The new 4.8l ecu is going to be controlling the shifting duties so the trans. plug needs to be wired in. Quick reminder, I have an '01 4.8l with an incomplete harness so I'm having to patch a lot of wires.
Things still to do:
-locate a stock 4.8 or 5.3 Y-pipe from the manifolds
-upper and lower coolant hoses
-drill and tap water pump for the Throttle body coolant line
-tighten the motor mount bolts
-send S&P my OEM oil pressure switch in order to get the correct adapter
-still looking for the rubber O-ring with screw clamps at both ends of intake, one at the throttle body and the other at the upper portion of the airbox

Pics as promised, though somewhat late:

pic of fuel line setup, these are Dorman products. Used the OEM fuel supply and return line all the way up to the bell housing!!!! NICE. Oh, quick tip, if you are going to do the hard plastic lines as I did.....get a cup of hot water to make the line soft enough to slide over the fittings. Be careful and go slow otherwise you can bend the line and it's useless then.

Mock up of the intake(note the missing rubber clamps I mentioned before) and the OEM harness is still in the engine bay. Currently, it's out getting "thinned" out.

The OEM harness is complete. Now, we are working on the new harness and grafting in a few items from the old harness that were missing. My new harness was cut so I have to add in the A/c, tranny plug and MAF plug among other things.
I'm still searching for a y-pipe and the intake pieces to complete the install. Upper and lower radiator hoses have been installed and the oil has been changed. Oh, looking for one spark plug wire if anyone has a spare.
Hope to get this running within the next two months.

Small update, after seeing others on the forum with their intake and A/C setups, I'm really liking the idea of of the H2 intake. I may have found the y-pipe needed although I'll have to modify it to fit my setup. I hope to use the oem y-pipe off a Pontiac GTO. We'll see.
