TA63 you also have to remember that your motor is also likely not strained as your running more power so even with the 3.23's Vacuum was less of an issue. Although I do agree that I think after a certain point gears can get counterproductive at Highway speed for example I am sure with 3.08 being an option in these trucks changing to say 3.73 would be a good idea. Anyone know at about what rpm the average stock truck is running at 65mph with 3.23 vs 3.73 vs 4.10's?

Well RPO's say GU6 so its got 3.42's. Anything else that might be important?

Gotta know tire size also fool. With 3.73's and 31.5 I run 65mph at roughly 1700rpm. At 75mph I'm right at 2000rpm. Keeping it under 2000rpm is where these motors love being as far as mileage.

I agree a full cold air setup is a waste of money. I like to replace the stock intake tube though, and add a better flowing filter. Throttle body work can help a bit too.

I agree. After my e-fan conversion, I did a low budget "cold air" kit to go with my modified stock airbox. It seems to work well and only cost a fraction of any I have seen on Ebay or anywhere else.

12" section of 4" exhaust pipe, painted color of your choice
4" elbow
4" to 3.5" sleeve
4 hose clamps

With 3.42's i was at 1,750 at 65 and 2,100 with the 4.10's with 30 inch tires. My average mileage actually increased 2mpgs but I think its more related to me gutting out the clogged catalytic converters. I did it at the same time as the rear end. My mileage now averages around 13.8 before it was 12.1. I'm a lead foot lol.

Exactly what I want to do soon. Got the ideas from your thread. Yours turned out great.
