Just went up in SoCal again:
2.66- 89 octane
2.86- 91 octane
Gas just went up about 10 cents a gallon here. With crude at $58 a barrel now, think about what is it going to be like if it hits $105 like I just read about.

Oil prices hit all-time nominal highs on Monday, despite attempts by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries to stem the rally.
The price of oil has moved more than $3 a barrel higher since last Thursday when investment bank Goldman Sachs released a report saying oil prices might have entered a “super-spike” period that could drive them towards $105 a barrel as demand outstrips capacity.

When is the government going to put a "price-ceiling" on these gas prices?
The American wallet would have to be packed with at least a 6 figure salary to be able to withstand these price increases. :grr:
Sometime soon, they are going to have to step in and say "THAT'S ENOUGH!" :tantrum:
And it would be easy to say, "Go get a hybrid", but has anyone priced a hybrid lately? They aren't exactly cheap.
kinjo yea i know what you mean ..... my wife and i priced an Accord v6 hybrid ... HOLY CRAP!!! they offered 2 levels one was $33000 & the other was $35000. That's a crap load of gas you could buy and it still only gets like 30-32mpg. You can get a passat tdi and get like 40-45mpg for 25-28k... I agree something needs to be done because the oil barons are just play'n us. :help:
We are funding the terrorists with every gallon we buy i believe.
Buy a motorcycle. Better economy for around town and fun to boot. 40+ mpg on a Honda 1800. For less than $10k you get one hell of a bike in today's market. Save the gas for the weekend when you can see how fast you can blow it out the tailpipes.
Wow SoCal is crazy:
2.85 for 89octane
3.05 for 91octane
