The point is a thumpr cam is for sound. That cam your other mods No stall and that intake.... Sounds like a bad match. The only gains you would see is the 25 from that intake. Big whoop you could gain 50 with a good spec'd cam.
Tyler advised a 220/224. It would be a beasty cam. The tr220 is a proven beast cam and a good chop on a 112. If you want to beat a hemi EITHER one of them with a 3k stall ( I DD'd a 3k for over a year with ZERO issues with a 5.3 *cause apparently a person with a 4.8 has no say in your opinion*) which I only saw a 2mpg drop in town and same highway mileage with it. You can have 1000s to spend on a truck You can have NO budget and be able to throw gobs of money at it. BUT if you dont match it up and pick bad parts you are going NO WHERE. One day you wanted a supercharger. Now you want a big cam with no stall??? C'mon Son. Listen to people who are trying to help you. If you just want to order a bunch of crap parts call summit and say " I got a 5.3 and no budget. I got a visa card with ********** number. SURPRISE ME"
