LQ9 and 4l80...
Im with the 6.0 guys.
I have gone the 4.8 route before. And with bolt ons and a cam with stock heads, your pretty much limited to about 320-350whp. With FI more, but you can spend $1500 on a cam swap, and everything or you can get a stock lq9 and dyno the same number. Later you cam and stall the lq9 and smile.
The smart thing however would be to put the money twards the note (if you dont own it yet). Its a good feeling knowing that you own a vehicle.
LT headers,
An LQ9 would be my first choice but I can't find them anywhere for less that a couple thousand. LQ4 would be good too though. A 6.0 and cam/headers sounds like the way to go if I can find one.
A 6.0 would be the best idea honestly. My cousin picked up a 20k mile LQ4 for $700 and turned it into a 404 stroker. I tried to get him to boost the stock LQ4 but he wanted over 500 to the wheels NA so he could hit it with a 200 shot.
Just a headz up. Look at what i found.
