Truck fuel system 1,000hp

Is just me, or this post was to be informative.

What I get so far is that no stock fuel system will hold 400whp for sure.

As soon as you change ur pump, or ur injectors by no means is stock.

Then, If you get away with minor modification, and live on the edge.....ur problem, for most people with some sense, been 25-30% on the upper safe side, is not spending, is investing.

The mayority of people here start with CAI and some minor mods, but the pursue for HP is endlees in our minds, so why not follow others Experiences, and built parts safelly were other did xperiments and fail !

We all fed other wallets on this hobbie, or do we fab our own raw material and parts?

BTW, all those parts and prices up there can be found at Jegs or any major speed shop. So anyone can choose whos wallet to fed !!!!

How do Fuel cells compare to OEM tanks, in performace comparo? is it woth the conversion?

Not to ask a stupid question but, what is the hp limit on stock fuel line and rail?
What is the hp limit on the drop it 60s?
What is the hp limit of the 255?

Not stupid at all, but this question has many variables.
I'll just address the obvious ones, other can help out with the "what if" variables.

60's will support quite a bit of HP. if you add meth spray to the equation, it goes up even more. add a boost referenced regulator, it goes up even more, because the injectors will act larger than what they are with more fuel pressure.
A returnless or return style fuel rail system have different limits.
Regulating the fuel pressure at the rail is better than at the tank(returnless).
Limit on a 255? Well the variables above also pertain to this limit, but usually around 500-600rwhp. Just depends on the other parts of a fuel system as well.

Usually, a 255 and 60's will support about 600hp with no meth, maybe more or less, just depends.

Here's an example to go off of. 255 + 48lb lucas injectors. I ran out of pump and injector at 12psi on a 6L w/cam/turbo. Had to back it down to 525hp and injector duty cycle was still 100%.

I know some setups like to eat fuel more than others.

Here´s and update.

I used to have OE intank pump, oe fuel lines, inline Walbro 255HP feeding stock rails and FPR with 60 injectors.

At 8psi I was at 13.6 AFR and FP went 45psi at WOT. My injectors were at 99-102 cycle.

Heard like a zillion advices from changing to higher injectors, paralell pumps, changing all fuel lines and so on.

So I upgraded with the above parts listed here plus an intank Walbro 255LPH. Still have the OE feeding lines from the tank, inline walbro 255hp and the 60 injectors.

The Results were awesome. With the same tune, and FPR at 60psi, AFR was at 10 now. I raise the boost to 10psi, and still AFR at 10, and Injector cycle droped to 76%.

So I did a Last test, and raise boost to 12psi, still at 10AFR, but now Injector cycle jumped to 88%, still lower than before.

Now at last I can feel my truck Fast!!! Before at 8psi and almost WOT 12.5@1/4 mile

At 12psi boost with a bad tune feels so much faster, way faster. Now working on a better tune with lean AFR (11.5 target) and better timing.

I´m guessing now my Fuel System is good for 15psi of boost and probably over 800 whp easy.

Thanks for the update, but hopefully that walbro will hang in there, that's the next step, but we'll get you there!
