So my neighbor is insane (cops called)

Have you thought of calling social services on her rather than the police? She might be schizo or something. SS can cart her away without a court order if they think she is a danger to you or herself or others.

My dad has always told me....shoot, shovel, and shut the **** up!
That should apply well in this situation...

she hasnt bothered me since the cops talked to her, hopefully she will be able to maintain this, but somehow i doubt it.
