Well we need upped pressures in the tune as Allen suggested and/or oil mods that Greg might know. I know that I've had low mileage stock 3-4 problems that I've done nothing but put more clutches in and have not seen them back (in this town I would know for sure if they failed again).....this leads me to believe that sometimes there are excessive clearances or something else in the build that leads to these 3-4 failures....

oh ya, on top of the cost of the 80e, add another 2K, lol.
your 60e will hold for a while to have fun with.

Yeah Greg mentioned drilling a small hole somewhere to eliminate fluid from accumulating - I'll let him explain it rather than me butcher it.
I can get Louis to up the line pressure.

Now we're getting somewhere....

The 3-4 clutch pack has a history of being partially engaged during high RPM passes while in gears 1 and 2. This is caused by transmission fluid getting slung to the walls of the drum, packing in tight and applying pressure to the clutches. This leads to premature clutch failure. When you buy a blue plate special kit for the 3-4 clutches they include a instruction sheet on where, how and why to do the modification. Oh yeah, I have the instruction sheet still. :thumb:

Goodie!
See, it's nice to have friends, huh?
LOL

Man that sucks so are you going to be able to rebuild it this saturday?

Get a instrument cluster with a transtemp gauge. You must do this in rder for any other trans to serive

Looks like a party at Greg's.
