That's probably about right because that's where my truck seems to be doing better. But the results are dependent on the amount of air coming in (I'm pretty sure I'm getting more that one of those Volant scoops).
awesome idea as far as keeping your filter clean we use them on choppers and TRT may have them but its a sock that goes around your airfilter to keep moister out and does not affect airflow. you might try that. i will see if i can find one around the shop and give you the name of it.. i have seem them on remote mount turbos as well... hence TRT...
i was thinking also if you wanted to make it look and flow better get you some 4" elbows like the turbo systems use and then yo ucan design and weld it all up and everything. just a thought...

Cool - thanks for the info, I'll check it out!
For the collector you can get a small 6" a/c register and section it down to a 4". I agree with Outlaw weld a final one up out of turbo piping.
  wo thats serious redneck inginuety. you might be a red neck if you use stove pipe, duck tape to make you truck go faster. :hshake: :point:  :thumb:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(jamesray @ Mar 23 2007, 01:15 PM) </div>Tell ya what - you line that Dodge up and see if it can keep up with my duct taped stove piped truck, how's that? Oh, and P.S., it's not stovepipe, it's galvanized vent pipe which is probably as hard as your thick head. And as I mentioned, it's simply experimental to see if I would feel gains. And before you try to sound smart and use what are apparently big words to you, make sure you can spell them correctly. It's spelled "ingenuity". And it's not "duck" tape. It's duct tape. Little pissant.Quote:

Are you from Princeton, TX or Jersey? Probably Jersey....
If so, I hope you're smarter than some of your fellow 'Jerseyers' that made New York newspaper headlines a few years back when they shot some of our cows because they "thought they were deer". Bunch of freakin light brights up there. You one of 'em? One of the light brights?
Then again, you drive a Dodge, so that's probably giving you too much credit.
The other guys razzing my idea drive Chevy's - so that's fine. They can razz me. You drive a Dodge. That means you don't have that privilege. Might want to concentrate on your spelling instead...

I think your idea is pretty cool. If you can't buy it, build it. :thumb:
And I am 100% positive that your truck can outrun that Dodge that Jamesray says he has. Actually, I have money to back that up. :taunt:
Guys, I think we should go to some Dodge-only site and start claiming stuff we don't have and rag on their posts.
