Yea but you will have to bypass the starter solenoid wire and you won't have back up lights. I need mine to work because my girl will be driving the truck as well and just my luck she doesn't put it in park and starts the truck up in reverse lol...
The wire that runs to the solenoid is wired through the switch. So you will have to run a different wire to the solenoid
Well...I haven't had any issues starting it
lucky you..when i turn my key nothing happens. im probably going to install a push button ignition anyways. i saw on another forum a guy used a honda s2000 button and it came out pretty dope.

I have been doing some searching but i can't seem to find anything about how to wire the alternator and get the gauge to work.I have been following your project because in april i will be putting a 5.3 in place of my 383 carbed stroker in my 1992 chevy pickup reg cab 2wd 5 speed.Trying to get all the parts and all my ducks in a row before i start.Your build has been very helpful.
Thanks Joe
Thanks for sharing your build! Nice truck and good info in this thread.I just buy a L33 and matching 4l60E from a 2005 Sierra and plan to swap it in my k1500 1994 at the end of summer so I read a lot...
