Yes - Runs solid. Had to revamp the tune, and pretty much start fresh. Higher duration cam with a larger lift.
No - No more wheel spin from a dead stop & floor it. I can power-brake to 2K, mash the go pedal, and let go to spin well into 2nd tho. I guess I shouldn't complain, but this use to be done EASILY. I dropped the tire pressure from 33 - 35 psi in the rear down to 30 psi. There's a Desired Torque table under one of the TM tables in HPT. I'm not 100% sure how this works (at least have doubts), but I'm sure the higher number = higher allowed torque to be utilized to put power to the pavement.
Now, I'm getting a good bit of KR from 4K - 6K rpm. That's from 28* to 32* of timing. Gotta spend some time tuning and logging.
just curious as to how long your driveshaft had to be for this to work and which way you positioned your mounts?
I have a 83 C10 I am doing a 4.8L swap in and I was wandering what exhaust manifolds would you guys recommend running??? I would prefer not to grind on the frame if you know what i mean! lol
'98 camaro/firebird manifolds.
do you know anyone who has any for sale bro??
Check ebay and your local bone yards. Post a wanted ad on LS1Tech for them. You'll want 98 only, they're stamped stainless. 99 and newer are cast, IIRC.
thanks man! Ill do some searching...
