friday we start the magic..
still need to get fluids, some wiring and a relay for the electric water pump.
just went shopping
oil, check, oil filter, check pb blast and towels, check, power steering fluid , check.. tstat.. check.
broke stand offs off the stock tstat cover.. check check..
still need .. coolant, break in oil additive, maybe water wetter..
never took the time to get the alternator bracket re powdercoated tho.. :(

effortless to start it.. idles SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH..
went for a ride.. was perfect
Long Trims B1 and B2 are at -8.5 at idle
off the line, giving it what i call "normal" throttle to leave the light and get moving i saw as much as 4.5 Knock
WB at idle is reading 15.2-16.1
at probably 3/4 Throttle, the WB was reading like 11.0-ish
Short Trim B1 1.5-3.9
Short Trim B2, .7-3.1
thoughts on riching it up?
What's the A/F when it's pulling timing? It could be lean, or be too much timing. To me that's a little rich at 3/4 throttle, should be closer to 12.5. What is it as WOT?
still breaking in motor...no WOT runs.
It's SUPER lean at idle...but the plugs actually look pretty decent after 'driving'. I agree about the 11ish.
I would THINK he should shoot for 14.3-15.00 at idle/cruise...around 13.6 at 50% throttle, and 12.9 ish at wot?

2 minor leaks to work on.. 1 is the valve cover gasket, i think, and the other is the coolant crossover tube.. need to pick up a new tube
ok sorry its been a while. ive been traveling for work and stuff.
ok she's nicely broken in.. about 900 miles on it now.. just went WOT for the 2nd time today.. looks like the ltrim b2 was 0.0 @wot.. thats cool
ill check out b1 later today.. i still have a mystery oil leak.. not sure where its coming from.. even have oil covering the transfer case.. had the rear cover gasket and rear main seal replaced .. leak is less, but still leaking.
had to replace the coolant crossover tube as it was leaking,, $65.. cheap fix.
i got a line tore over the tranny.. its got a green capped line along side it.. not sure where it goes, or what i need to do to fix it.. but that may be whats causing me to throw some evap codes.. figure ill get that sooner or later..
to be honest.. this oil leak is grinding on my nerves.. i even looked some camaro's on saturday.. but the truck will always stay..
might be the oil sending unit leaking.
thats on the top of the block in the back right? i felt back there with my hand and didnt feel any oil..ill recheck tonight.
Yeah could be that or a PCV issue. Did you hook it up like factory or did you just put breathers on the valve covers? Could be blowing it out the rear main even though it's a new seal.
i had the rear main seal and cover gasket replaced already once.

not my luck trav. besides thats also a 3 or 4 day rental car.
check the back of your valve covers, are you still running the stock covers?
