tune, headers and intake then stall then cam. Your 4wd truck will hate a cam without a stall. Since you are 4wd with the 99-02 buttons you have 3.73s that will be perfectly fine for mileage and decent mechanical advantage. Dont get a cam without a stall. Gotta crawl before you can walk. Do the install yourself its much more satisfying knowing you did it.

Honey ull never believe it, but on my way home my knueter valve blew to pieces and now ive got this whine coming form my tail pipe(turbo u bought that day), looks like I may need to take the truck in and see whats wrong(gets u even more money to buy goodies). get a few credit cards... and bam u got an 11 second beast lmao.

Eliminating cats typically only gains .1-sec in 1/4-mile (assuming you already have headers and true dual catback). But if you really have no problem with this then have NP disable the rear O2 sensors in your tune and you're good to go.
If you spend your budget on headers & exhaust that will eat-up almost all your funds, and I would suggest these mods first -That's $1100-1200 in mods. Of course you would have to do your own wrenching.
- Shift Kit (Superior, $200-250)
- TB converter (Dayco, $100-125)
- Gut converters ($20)
- CAI ($250)
- NP tune ($500)
After that - well it's kind of a toss-up. An aftermarket cam & springs will set you back an additional $500-600, and Pacesetters cost a little more than that but occasionally these do pop-up used in the forum want-ads. I would probably do the longtubes & exhaust first, cam/springs last but ultimately you will want both. And a re-tune!

thanks for the info mr. p. i will probly go with transgo hd-2. i can get the kit for less than $100 and for the tb tc should i wait and spend my money on a yank
If you feal like driving to Louisiana, theres a place called latino motors that sells built LS1's for 1200$ and with the extra 300 you can get it installed!! :cool:
