the 220 cam has pretty much the same lift, but didn't make the power it does due to it's larger duration, and 114 LSA. i actually swapped cams over the weekend for a slightly bigger more nitrous oriented cam.

the reason the 2.73 gears are still in is that I still had not decided what gears to go with until now. I have a 8 7/8 12 bolt that is considered by most to bet the best 1/2 ton truck rear that GM ever made and I want to keep it. Other wise I could have put one of those wimpy 10 bolts (I can find those all day long with lower gears) in and break it.
Don't buy it he probally won't send it. Just like he didn't show up at the track like he said he would. I bet he lied about how fast his truck is anyway, if he even has one.Quote:

Farmtruc, if you want a cheap 02 LS6 cam, my buddy is selling one for 125+shipping.
:point:
Do you have a dyno graph from this? It doesn't seem feasable to me with such little gains in duration unless the lift gains give you that much powerQuote:

the LS6 gained 30rwhp for me in my 6.0 with stock 6.0 heads. that's 30 ACTUAL horsepower at the rear tires. it's a damn good cam.

gmc, you are so jealous of people with faster shit than you. i have a dyno graph. i'll get it up for ya when i get home from work. and i'll put my 10 truck bolt up against your 12 bolt truck ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
i dont doubt that the cam will give 30hp, if you look at the motor that chevy was gonna put in the regular cab SS, it had 390 hp, and the only difference from the Lq9 motor was a LS6 cam and it had LS6 heads, which arent much different from the heads that come on the 6.0s.
and either way, id be using this cam with a procharger so i dont really care what id gives a N/A motor
on the graphs:
there's know way to tell those two graphs are going to be old cam and new cam runs, how do we know other mods weren't involved, maybe that cam will give you thirty horsepower if you had heads/headers, and other stuff, but alone, i doubt it, we'll just have to wait for proof.
i guess we'll just have to take your word on it, we know how good that is, lol
don't worry jammed02silvy, every forum has to have its troll, you should be honored!

all this trash coming from a bunch of guys with stock cams in their old POS trucks. it's funny, once either of you bums has put a cam alone in your stock rides then you can comment. the LS6 cam gained 27.4rwhp/23.6rwtq with the only other modification being a ported oil pump, which add NO horsepower at all. the truck already had HAMM headers on it at the time, with otherwise stock exhaust and a bullet muffler.
