Casey23, what do you think size wise?
I've been trying to sell a turbonetics t-70 for a while now. Pm me if you're interested. I'll bump the thread in FS section if you wanna take a look. It's called the couldn't hack it sale.
What size engine were you running it on.
The reason I ask is that when you look at the compressor map for it, it is way to large.
In a turbonetics I would need a T-61.
With no reference to the last post, How many people actually use compressor maps?
It seems that many people just use whatever, and it will always work. Its just a matter of how well.
The issue with us using compressor maps is that many of us use these things daily and on the strip. We never know when we're going to go bigger. Most of us on this site (not only the turbo guys) go bigger to leave room for us to grow into.
It was a 9.5:1 5.7L. I really don't know what a compressor map is. Things nowdays seem to be getting extremely complicated.
There is a wealth of info on garrett's site, just go the turbo tech 101,102,and 103.
103 gets into the calculations and how to determine ho much air your motor really needs and how to size a turbo per your requirements. They also have an iphone app where it will even recommend turbos and plot your air requirements for you.
Rick from synergy is the one that told me I needed to size my turbo properly, and to do so I needed to do my homework and a bit of math.
