Are you that mechanically inclined that you can install gears urself? Or is the shimming process and the tools needed not as difficult as it would be on an older vehicle?

Not hard to do, especially when you can buy a master kit with everything you need to do it. There's just alot of checking and rechecking involved that can get annoying.
Ok so i bought the bearings that jegs said fit...................and of course they dont.
So what the hell
I measured the tru trac bearing surface and it is 1.625
The LM-60349 bearing that is supposed to be correct measures 1.780
WTF????? anyone know what bearing i need or do i have the wrong tru trac even tho the part number shows it to be correct?
anyone have a clue.....i really need to figure this out!
Ok does anyone know what the correct bearing surface measurment is on the detroit tru trac.....everybearing listed to fit it has a diameter of 1.780, but mine measures 1.625?
Are you measuring the right spot? It's very possible that your tru-track is not the one you need.
ok part number on box-913A481
