Flowmaster too LOUD!!!

40s are one of their more quiet mufflers. 44s and 10s are ridiculous loud compared to 40s.

???? Have you ever been to their website? I've been using Flows for 20 years, and after having mainly 40s on about 10 different vehicles (from BMWs to my last '02 Chevy truck) , I'll vouch for them being very loud. If you check the site, the 70 is the quiet one (supposedly really quiet on cat-equipped vehicles), and any 40 is the loud one (40, Super 44, Super 40, deltaflow 40 [why they need that many!?!?]). Their 50s seem to be somewhere in the middle. It's really kind of confusing- I don't know why they need that many different mufflers, but I'd have to say that most of them are a lot quieter than people seem to think.

lol. Want me to show you videos of three identical 5.3s, one with 10s, one with 44s, and one with 40s? I own two of the vehicles, so that isn't really a problem. I promise you, the 10s and 44s DOMINATE the 40s. I said the 40 was one of their quieter ones, not the quietest. Yes, a 70 is more quiet. 40s and 50s are comparable.

There is a lot of background noise so its kinda hard to hear but I tried.
It's Magnaflow dual 2.5"in/out 22"X5"X11", Edelbrock shortys, No cats.

FWIW I just switched from my 40 series which i eventually learned to hate from the stupid drone and constant headache it gave me to a Pypes performance M-80 straight through built pretty much like a magnaflow but with a slightly more attractuive price :naughty:

....I LOVE IT!! i've actually tried to recrank my truck once as soon as I got it put on cuz at idle its al most silent but as soon as you get on it it sounds awesome!!

I have a 22" Magnaflow, quiter at idle, a little louder at cruise and even on the 4.3 it sounds great at WOT

Hey I just saw a magnaflow XL 3 chamber, anybody heard one of these? I was set on the hooker til i saw all the happy magnaflow customers and I noticed that....
TOOO MANY CHOICES!! lol

TheSlowOne07 has a magnaflow and we cruised through town one night and he said all he could hear was my super 44s. Couldn't even hear his truck. We raced a little and his is sooo quiet until he gets WOT.

That's how mine is. That crappy video doesn't do it justice, it sounds way different in person. I used to be a flowmaster fan until I installed the Magnaflow.
