the bolt that holds the TPS on, you can make it a little longer and turn it till the TPS sensor reads 0...i have had to do that same thing on some f-body's
bolt? my TPS has 2 little screws holding it down to the throttle body?

samething...bolt...screw...lol....just slot the holes a little so you can adjust it, turn it a little to get it to read 0%

so you chop off the stud that holds it in the proper position on the throttle body?

No..
there are holes in the sensor where the screw go through...make those holes that the screw go through a little bigger..like this o(smaller hole) turns into a O(bigger hole) and that allows you to turn the sensor clockwise or counter clockwise
