Closed loop starts at 153 degrees. Put too low a tstat in and you'll get P0128. With add on OEM efans and a 160 mine will set this code in the winter when the auto AC turns on the compressor and therefore the fans and the coolant never get warms enough for closed loop hence the P0128.

I would not say never go below 180 'cause a 160 does have a proper application but my 160 needs to be a 180 and I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND NO TSTAT TO ANYONE for a driver, only a track only, TRACK ONLY vehicle.

I have a PT3200 stall in a truck about 770 lbs heavier than yours. Almost all stop and go driving with the A/C on max at all times. So it gets pretty hot.
I know all about the codes these cars throw and monitor it plenty.

Modded my stocker a couple times didn't get as cool as i wanted so i took it out. That fixed it.

Yeah thats the only down side to this intake. Thats why i wrapped it up. to try to prevent it.

Oops looked at the wrong page.This website says it's 833 lbs. Almost 2 extra feet of SUV is pretty heavy.

You're a lot faster than me with the high stall and cam swap and the headers and the exhaust mods none of which I have but don't make it something it's not :LOL:

Have a good time and be proud of the good numbers. Just because I don't like the idea of leaving the tstat out is no cause for alarm bro.

I don't know how accurate the weight is. i have yet to actually get mine on a scale.
