Thanks to Moze for listening and responding to my texts.
Thanks to all my friends here with well wishes.
He called me himself from the ER so I knew at least at that time he was upright and thinking like the math major I've always known. Told me about the experience. Told me about what they did (CATs, MRI, MRA, bloodwork, etc.).
Went to see him at the hospital in Sherman last night. Seemed normal to me there too in person. Looks good, has good color (at least normal color LOL), has strong grip, all symptoms seemingly gone, eyesight typical both eyes, no sensory difficulties....all signs point to OK with exception of his BP being high. He's 62 and 6' 0" 180-ish not too much overweight if at all. He has been doing more to take care of cholesterol and such and his diet and exercise is fairly good IMO for his age and having been officially retired for almost 16 years.
His mother had two big strokes before she passed in 07. A couple of her brothers had strokes too. His dad had a bad heart (from smoking) but his seems fine besides the BP.
Tonight I called my Mother to ask him a question (because I did not want to bother him if he was resting) and she told me that she got a call from someone where he had a teaching engagement that he was :barf: ing.... but on his way home with someone trailing to make sure he's OK. Dang it he needs to take a break.
Sorry if all the concern turns to be what sounds like a false alarm but with his family history of stroke it scared me even having talked to him. After all his tests the neurologist says it was not a stroke but possibly a XXX (sorry, some sort of acronym I don't remember). His logic head ain't pickin' up everything the Drs are puttin' down.
We'll see.
Thanks again. :)
Triple bypass?
Not that. I would remember that and he wouldn't be home yet.
