I don't like the club rules!!!
just turn the DTC's off in the tune
I didn't either lol. I had to re-position my sensors in the flow more on the headers to get them to read right.
I might have to do that eventually, but I WANs actually fix the problem not put a bandaid on it
Hey, someone told me you just called.
They said you mentioned you had the truck at the dealership and they are saying it's the tune causing all this.
That is easy enough to remove from equation; we can send you a stock tune and see if it still does it. Let me know.
The pcm doesn't control what the o2 sensors do.
the o2 sensors report back to the pcm, then pcm then trims or adds fuel based on what the o2's are telling the pcm (in a nutshell).
The pcm doesn't control the switching, so if the o2's are not switching, then the o2's are not working properly. There is no way to calibrate the pcm to make the o2's switch properly.
The only thing I can do for you and your pcm is turn the codes off!
If you're wanting the codes turned off, let me know, we can do this.
There are others with the same or similar headers that are having the same issue, which all started after the headers were installed.
hope this helps,
allen
I agree with Allen even though there is a tune the tune needs the O2's to switch properly just like the stock programming.
I ordered some vette sensors. They be in in the morning and I should have them installed by noon-ish. I'll let you know what it does
