so what're the logistics of doing a swap to a 4l80e?

Yep...there sure is. I'm always getting on the forum on my phone at work so I forgot all about that writeup on the front page...Would it be easier to do the swap or just build the 4l60e? :newbie:Quote:

I guess a used one would work...I read the right up...the only thing I would be worried about is cutting the cross member and re-welding it to extend it. I can weld fine but I guess I've never had to fabricate anything for my truck...Quote:

The tranny cooler lines are close, but you can bend them to fit--just don't kink them--or you'll be going back to the truck that you took the crossmember from to get the cooler lines. The driveshaft will have to be custom too.
