Most 04's are LLY VIN 2. Yeah, the LB7 doesn't fly apart and is reliable (except for the injectors that are $4500 installed). The problem is they're weak stock.

Scap the hp tuners, my friend who is a diesel guy say the hp tuners is a joke on the diesel world. Just his $0.02

I don't see how it's a joke. I'm pretty sure the guy that won the Diesel Power shootout was using a custom tune with HP Tuners. I personally know several people with LB7 and LBZ diesels running 13's with nothing but a tune in huge crewmax trucks. These are not radical tunes either...middle of the road tunes that won't destroy the transmission.
isnt hp tuners the best u can get for duramax?
well i have hp tuners ordered for my ss so its free for the duramax basicly and i know its not the best but its something that i can go in and fiddle with unlike ppe or something i would put on and go I NEED MORE!!!! then proceed to spend money i shouldet lol
