No you really need to get a new bolt. the best way to get it tightened down is a impact. if you dont have a impact take a chain and rap it through the pully and the lower a arm and use a breaker bar of some sort.

I think its the ls1, It the z06 right before the new one came out. If you cant find it im pritty shur i still have mine.
Never use an impact on a crank bolt. There is not a 1/2" made with enough guts to push one of these on anyway.
GM instructions have you push it on all the way with an installer, then seat it by torquing the old bolt to 135 (if memory serves), then removing the old bolt and using a multi-step process for torquing the new bolt. It is critical to many functions, most importantly OIL PUMP OPERATION, to get it right.
Buy a $4 bolt and borrow an installer.
BTW it matters not if the other accessories turn, what you want to do is keep the crankshaft from turning. I use a special tool for that but I'm sure there's some sort of shade tree method for that too...
Watch it Bucko.
should tightedn pulley down with the stock bolt. remove it toss it aside then install new one take it to 37lbft and then 130*
Yea I Hit Mine With The Impact As Well, now Im Just Going To Hit It With A Torque Wrench.(old Bolt)as Well Only Has 5000 Miles On It.
