I told the guys at the shop to pour the can of rislone I bought in it and see if it did anything. They are suppost to call me around 430 ish or before and let me in on the scoop. Im crossing my fingers guys. if the 4.8 is toast, I guess its time to find a new motor.Quote:

This is so effing gay. Such a perfect time of year for this crap to happen especially when Ive worked my ass off to get the truck the way I wanted it. I dont know what I can do anymore. I researched tons before I installed the cam and thought everything was going to be alright. I know its my fault and its a life lesson, but when will this bad effing luck stop coming at me? When my dad finds out its gonna be the end of my ass. Im so emotionally unstable right now I cant even get off my ass to go out with my friends 2nite for their bdays. And tommorow dad was going to let me shoot a big buck at our ranch. What the hell am I suppost to ****in tell him "dad my motor blew?" to make matters even better, the second gear is still fried! So Im eventually gonna need a new built tranny anyways and its gonna double his pissed off mood. I was planning on being done with all this crap and building the tranny after xmas but no, Im gonna have to pay **** tons of money for a shop to swap my motor cause Im pretty sure dads not gonna let me swap it myself. I know like I sound like a poon on here, but wth else am I suppost to do? This has been one of my favorite hobbies for the longest time and ive met so many badass people and learned so much and dont want to give it up. Why does this **** have to happen to me?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!3
I really dont know what Im gonna do. My effing christmas is ruined because of my own self, and the money I get from family sadly goes toward the truck which makes me look like ****.

Excuse my bitching above, I lost my mind up there. :LOL: Im fine now. Well, I think me and a friend are gonna swap out shortblocks and in goes the 5.3 w/ my current cam. I dont want my dad payin for it. Hell I might throw in pushrods 75$ and some lts I can get for 100$ while Im at it. My Gma said I can borrow her spare truck for the time being. I still havent told dad yet and dont know how, but technically speaking, arent the rod bearings not my fault even with the cam? The cam doesnt touch the rods and we didnt go near the oiling system when doing my cam. I just dont want him to get the wrong idea thats whats gonna ruin everything :( and I wanna tell him I can do the swap myself with a friend for cheap and no worries.
Dude it happens....its a machine and machines have mechanical failures....
It's not a rocker unless one came off all the way. Rod bearings are hard to diagnose from the outside so don't get that stuck in your head. I have yet to see an LS spin a rod or a main. Not saying it can't happen but.....I've seen oil pump problems, cam problems, lifter problems, and even a busted piston (see pics from last month).
