Very nice kill man! Im still hunting an elusive white tail up here at school in Maine...Ive been using my glock to make it a bit more intersting!
What were you shooting? Im not going for a distance kill here, but I feel a well placed 40 S&W JHP would stop a deer nicley.
Glock model 30 with speer gold dot hollow points. The deer had been hit by a car and was running around dragging its back half. I shot the deer 14 times. The last one was in the head a point blank range. I am not that poor a shot either. I hit him every time in the chest area. I sold that gun the next day. I have shot a german shepherd the same size as the deer with a 40 and 2 shots was all it took. I own a 19,23,27 and a 35. The 35 is hands down my favorite glock. I carry it all the time. I only own one 45 now. Its a kimber custom carry. I rarely carry it.
Got this guy yesterday. Not with the glock though! We drove about a 1/2 mile peice of land mid afternoon and sent him right to my buddy.

11pt, 242lbs field dressed!
Damn Zeake! Granted, Id give him plenty of time to bleed out before I got anywhere near him, it certainly will make me think hard before taking a shot - and it wont be anything less than a perfectly placed one. I wish I could afford some of the toys you speak of! I carry a G27 religiously - love it!
I was refering to the Custom Carry! I've put a few rounds through a S&W 500, Id rather shoot a .50 BMG if Im going to spend that kind of money on ammo though! Id imagine business has been nuts for you latley with the election and all! I know its impossible to find AR mags, lowers, uppers etc. around here right now...
Thats awesome man congrats on the kill !! I went last year to Co. and had a blast so I'm extremely jealous . BTY my buddy took his jack russell up there and lost him so keep a good eye on your pooch ! But it doesn't look like he would wonder to far from camp LOL .. Good luck deer huntin the rut is just beginning here ..:thumb:
My dog is pretty good, he stayed close and for the msot part I kept him on a leash around the camp, he didnt get to go out in the woods much with us.
