Almost sounds like its running off the MAP sensor and not the TPS.
Is the PCM setting any codes?
Make sure the maf is plugged in and actually working.
How's the valvetrain sound?
Since the truck is idling ok, that tells me the pcm is working correctly.
It's possible the cam and crank dots weren't lined up during the install.
If it's idling ok and the truck runs ok during normal driving, but sux under aggressive driving, the pcm may be detecting a bunch of knock retard and pulling lots of timing.

If it were mine... id tell the shop who put the cam in to line the dots up right. check them and if they arent... the shop needs to replace all damage that resulted from this. They will probaly never own up it if they made a mistake, So letting Allen at nelson performace fix it would be the best and safest bet. Allen would back up his work, and I bet if he had made a mistake like that he would have fixed it without any flack. IMO If Allen was doing the tune on my cam swap... I would ask him to do the swap as well. just because he could do a live tune and work out all tha bugs and issues for you before you get the truck back... That way when you get it back, It runs like a champ. And not the '' It runs like crap, here ya go.'' that the shop gave you.
that sucks to here...almost sounds like lawsuit time...also get a stall, that cam is going to suck with the stock converter
any more suggestions guys? im not sure if i want to get the same guy to install the new lifters even though its going to be free this time!
Dont let them touch it have someone else do it just give them the bill. Main reason being if they messed it up and they take it back apart they will tell you it was something other than what was really wrong in order to shift the blame away from themselves. Just do everything you can to cover your own a$$ ive been were you are.Quote:
