Then how would a 4.10:1 limit you to 80mph? This does not make sense.
The 130mph was with a 6000rpm limit, 30" tires.

i also had some guy tell me at school that if i change my gear ratios.... my computer will have to be reprogrammed.. is that true?
what brand 4.10's are you running red?
Try this one. You have the 30 spline axles... Save some money on Ebay...
Yes, tow/haul will work.
Yes, your PCM will have to be flashed to recognize the new gear set.

Auburn Gear GM 8.5" & 8.6" Pro Series, 2.73 & up, '99-present
are those gears good?
Its essentially the same thing...but the one on Ebay can be rebuilt unlike the one you are looking at... Do you want a limited slip or a posi? An LSD spins the right rear only until slippage is detected--and then transfers power at a 3 to 1 ratio--3 spins for the right to 1 spin for the left. A Posi is left and right all of the time=positive traction 100% of the time.
Yes--Richmond makes a very good gear set.
well i just bought my lsd from 4 wheelparts for 493 after tax and all now i just have to recoupe... lol... hopefully ill have the gears by next week..... does anyone have anything that can adjust my computer for the switched gear ratio?
You caught that too?
Damn, sometimes you get me rolling on the floor though you may not be aware of it Tyler!:D
