He had an awd red truck that ran 10s I believe that belonged to another member a while back. His white truck hasn't moved under its own power in years.

The burgundy AWD has gone 9's, the white truck does run.
This site was started with swaping LS1's into trucks not trucks that came with LS type motors from the factory. If you want to get down to brass tacks then there never was a truck with a factory LS1. I'm working on a S15 Jimmy with a LS2. If that doesn't fit then I'll take my setup some where else to race.
Before this thread get to far off track.
Farmtruc- Thanks for having the event even thought it was pushed together with one of Freddy's events. We were hoping to get that "Fastest on the property" win again this year but it just wasn't in the cards for us. We rarely have breakage on our truck in completion. The track was super good for us and not sure if stayed decent till the end. We had it tuned up for a personal best. We run a "bump box" for staging and the starter threw the tree on me and that pretty much threw it away. We will move on to the HPT's event and have more fun.

i for one had a blast. it was nice to have a truck to race for once instead of broken or no truck. thanks for putting this together for us every year allen.
He's got 2 trucks. His race truck that'll never be finished and a regular cab short bed 4x4 that has run high 9's. He drives it all the time I think so in its turned down state it runs mid 10's or something like that.
Can anyone tell me if there is any heads up racing at HPT??? I see know reason to drag out the truck to bracket race.

Doesn't sound like I'll be running in this one if no heads up action.
heads up is the index class you wish to run, just cant breakout of class you entered, unless youre asking about an all out heads up class for fastest on the property ?
also they seem to be running a single digit bracket class
something you like to see or have mention let me know Travis i'll bring it to the board and ask them about it since i know them well.
We have run the single digit class for a couple years. We have bracket raced it and run heads up. The single digit class needs participation and not people that say there going to come and not show. If 8 trucks show up and want to run "heads up" I am sure they won't have any problem with that. They have always tried to accommodate what the racers want as a group. The fan wants fast heads up racing! They are just not sure what to do with trucks that run 7.70-9.50 performance range.
i think I know but have to ask....which truck do you run MIGHTY6.
I love that thing. Awesome rig.
I'll be there if there is a chance we can get some heads up stuff going. I'm probably gonna go anyway to make a hit or two with this new pulley combo to see whats what.
But I'm not gonna slow the truck down for a 9.50 index.
We had a really great time again this year Allen, even though we didn't get to race because a converter took a dump in one truck and a transmission went out in the other truck.
We still enjoyed watching the racing, hanging out with everyone, etc.
Just like with any business, you will never make everyone happy and if you ever did someone would still bitch that they weren't made happy enough.
Thanks for putting on the event and please continue to do so.
made a post, leaving it here too

I was gonna post the whole file but my adobe is on the fritz. Anyway........you can see by viewing the link below, SAR has filed for bankruptcy. It's a shame too as it was a cool place to run and close for you San Antonio guys. This is what happens when a piece of crap runs a business.

bankruptcy doesn't mean it's closing; i'm not saying either way.
