real impressive now
is that truck consistant on the 60s? have you made any changes to the rear suspension since DBrods set it up

No changes to the suspenion, except for dropping the bars to make the lift point more center, an a front end alignment ...it was really out of wack...even still has the street 4-link, which ill probably change down the road, the rubber bushings are actually fighting the suspension to work @ its best...im still consistent 1:45 60fts
Good to hear... keep it up
That's great man! Truck is flat out moving! What year is that 5.3?
Thats Badass!!!! Congrats again. We tried everything to get that thing to hook on radials but the split is too much!! The Poly bushings have held mid 1.30s consistently on our street/strip stuff but a rod end will help some. Keep it up!!!
my 9:99 pass whooping a GN for $1500....all in the reaction time...

truck used to move lol..making a test hit on the street b4 a money run
That sucks. What next?
another 5.3 for the weekend,but gonna build a 418ci
Amazing truck and very impressive but stock 5.3's pushed that hard are ticking time bombs! I hope o2camaross reads this lol lol!
20lbs of boost, 20 times down the 1/4 mile.....not sure how passes from the previous owner...i bumped it up to 25lbs of boost 3. 1/4 mile passes an a test hit boom.....well worth it though..9:88 @137
Plus street driving miles
:sigh:
I know that feeling too well! Sucks man, but sounds like you have the right frame of mind. Drop in another, and give it hell.

Yea I've been reading it Jansen lol. Ill just push it till it blows but I got a plan that Ill start working on soon
how fast r u 02camaross?
Not as fast as yours lol. It should be mid 10's at 15 psi. I havent been to the track since I put the new turbo on. Old on was 76/64 with 3" dp, now its 80/78 with 4" dp. On 14 psi with the old setup and 28/10/16 hoosiers it went 10.9 @ 125. The new setup breathes a lot better so Im guessing mid 10's at 15psi with my new 29.5/10.5/15 MT's. Ill turn it up from there. But the truck is down for a little bit bc I got hit last Friday so I need to fix it and I plan to do a few little tweaks to help it out
Hey rzron30s, what short block did you have? Early or late model? That is very impressive? Were the heads stock? Also how much does it weigh? What fuel? I'm just curious on what people are pushing them to before they let go... Bad azz runs BTW! Congrats on the 9.88 pass!!! As far as I know thats a record on a full size truck with a 5.3!
2004 short block with arp rod bolts an arp head studs.heads were 317's with a little touch up, running on e85...the truck weighs 4130 with me in it(i weigh 260)..everyone keeps saying its a record, but i dont know how to verify that..
Any progress?
Yea, is the 418 in there yet lol.
Doing a 6.0, scat rods, wiesco pistons, holley intake, ...actually the same set up the 5.3 had, just boring the 6.0,30 over...hoping for low 9's this time..(2 more weeks)
I like how you dialed a 10.00 and ran right on the money. I just finshed my 5.3 build but the 4l80 e didnt like the power .lol i pulled 837 hp on 16 psi but my truck a heavy pig
here is one of the pulls and where i hurt the converter , because after that the truck transmission felt slugish till the pump gave out.
Should have the trans back buy monday to continue test and tunning.

engine sounds great! you can hear the turbo really come in half way thru the pull.
also like how this engine actually has some rpm hp, it pulls into the powerband like it's supposed to; props to the good hot pipes for that (headers).
that should get your truck in the 9's if it's not already, given it can hookup.
