I got one for not indicating lane change
no, had one worse than that, improper display of license plate. was scared as hell when i got pulled over, luckily he let me off easy.
I haven't gotten any tickets so far (knock on wood) but I do have a nice folder of written warnings. Best one was I was doing about 50 in a 35, had a girl in the truck and we were headed out to the drag races. Got popped by a bike cop, dude literally ran out of the bushes and stood in the road in front of me to stop me, almost hit him. It was going to be a ticket, but made up a long story about how I was trying to get the girl home because her dad was gonna be mad if we stayed out late, so he took pity and just did a warning. All the others are for either my tail lights being to dark or my license plate cover.
Got exhibition of acceleration (beat a '92 LX coupe with N2O in Irving by the skating rink off Belt Line), improper stop (stopped fully 18" past the solid white line at Loop 12 and Shady Grove 20 minutes after the racing ticket), and speeding (65 in a 40 FM 1171 FM, TX <BS> reduced to 55) tickets with six days in three cities (Dallas, Irving, Flower Mound) from different officers. I was about 20 and had a 396 Chevelle and friends with no money that liked to drink. I took differed on the FM one and turned the other two over to a lawyer for $75 each so it wasn't expensive......actually it was for me then. Got popped the other night here in GVille for the first time ever for improper stop (BARELY rolled a sign two blocks from home in a trap where one was coming up hard and fast behind me to rush me and the other was waiting around the corner). Simple mistake cost me $186. I've never been in jail or lost my license. I did pay $200 per month 20 years ago for liability only. It's less than that now with full coverage on two trucks.
they pull some crap like that again throw it in reverse and gun it!
I hate traps! They are stupid as hell. I understand setting up on stretches of road, but the stop sign kinda BS is a messed up way of doing things. Totally unethical if you ask me. Its the kinda stuff I would expect out of mexico cops not American.
Maybe it's cause I'm a easy going funny guy but I usually get warnings.
First bad ticket I got I was trying to catch up with a old teacher for a college recommendation. I was about a half mile behind on a 2 mile straight away. Topped the hill at around 120 and seen a light blue stripe on a white car and slammed on the brakes. I just pulled over before he even turned the lights on. He complimented my brakes sAying his radar first read over 120 and when it read again it was at 98. He asked me what my hurry was I explained and he said well I can't just let ya off. Gave me a simple speeding ticket for 95 in a 55.
Next one was 70 in a 45 on my way to teach a karate class and was running late. The trooper asked if I had on my seat belt and I said "well I got no reason to lie to ya. No sir I didn't" he laughed and wrote me a ticket for seat belt and said don't let me catch ya again.
Best stunt I got away with was coming home showing off for a car full for friends I came to 4 cars in a row going about 54. I was already running 80 so I just dropped it down a few gears and came by the last one at around 130 mph. The front car was a sherriff. I just pulled in the first driveway and waited. He didn't even even come to the window. His first words were out of the car and come back here. Figured it was jail time. He asked WTF was I doing. I told him being a dumb ***. he said boy did you not see the sherriff on the back. I told em no sir.. I was going too fast. He asked well what about the big star on the side. I told him yes sir. That's when I hit my brakes. He laughed and told me to gtfo of his sight.
That reminds me I got lots more before the ones I mentioned. Of great note is a triple I got in Flower Mound years before the other one I mentioned (might be weirder that I lived in Highland Village and never got stopped there).
My triple was speeding (dropped), unsafe lane change (dropped), and failure to signal with intent to change lanes. The Hispanic female cop dropped the speeding ticket at the scene (much like the male Hispanic cop from FM did on the other FM ticket I mentioned) and issued the other two. I showed up in court (it was a little tough to get out of high school without mom and dad knowing to go to court) to plea. I put in a no contest to the failure to signal and the judge hammered me with a fine and deferred sentence. OK. Plead not guilty to unsafe lane change and scheduled a court date where I acted as my own fake attorney. It worked. I made a diagram of the intersection complete with year/make/model/color of all surrounding vehicles and bystanders and even called the offending cop to the stand for examination. I won. I figured I'd never get that lucky again so I have never plead not guilty since.
HHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA Suck it Flower Mound!
#1 wasn't the worst, just the funniest... 16 and in HS me and some buddies had the bright idea to get this chick back for shoe polishing our cars... except we went to walmart and bought some black washable auto spray paint for her white car. 4 of us hop out and start spraying away at about 2a.m. I was painting some sweet flames down the driver side and my other buddy was almost finished with the 6ft weenie down the passenger side of her car when her mom comes running out screaming and yelling at us and gets the plate number. Cop shows up at my buddies house an hour later and issues all 4 of us "Criminal Mischief" tickets and said that if we did that to his car he would've shot all 4 of us :blahblah: Fought the ticket and ended up going to court 3yrs later and got it dismissed!
All the rest of my tickets have been for speeding... most were BS speed trap stuff but I learned my lesson. Haven't had a ticket in a couple years and It's nice not having to pay them all the time and having to pay the surcharge on your license
All in all though I still can't stand police to this day. There are very few i've encountered that were professional about their job. Most of them are cocky Dbags who harass you just for the heck of it IMO.
Haha Im 27 , Got my DL when I was 18 after driving without it since I was 14. I havent had It for a full year since then.
105 in a 65 in east TX one of the months I actually had a DL and ins. Driving my 96 3.1 Grand Am with P&P and Milled heads , custom grind cam. Why you ask? I blew the head gasket and a buddy of mine ran a machine shop and said why not. It would take 97 GT rustangs. Left the gas station foot to the sloor to 120 and then slowed to speed limit. he got me on the way up or the way down. Asked why I was driving so fast. Told him I was getting the bad gas out of the system lol.
3x Driving While Lic. Susspended + no ins.
Thats why you just roll with no plate and goneskis. On the HW they have no chance and even in the city they cant catch you if you can ride lol.
Riding a 12 on my R1 on on Beach , cop blocks the intersection in front of me . I sit it down go around him and left him there
Huh?
That was going to be my reply until the system said I needed to make at least 25 characters.
So to get this straight....the site wants Frenchy to STFU and me to keep talking?
