wheels look purdy nice for 400
nice set up,makes me want to do a ls swap on my 72 project.
Very nice build and a little elbow grease and those wheels will polish up real nice.
thanks fellas, it's a slow build but it's been worth the wait so far. I will keep posting pics and updates. radiator, fuel pump, and fuel cell getting ordered friday. she should be running in a month or so. I can't wait to hear the sound of that 6.2
It's going to be killer for sure. Whose radiator did you go with? And are you going with fans and shroud?
Got some work done while I was home this time. Front sway bar is in and the steering is complete, with the exception of an alignment.
I painted the tank just to see how it would come out. still not decided on fuel cell or stock tanks....

Hey Man, its coming along. Question for you. On the Griffin radiator and fan set-up, do you have a part number and source you'd be willing to share? Great choice on paint since I'm going to go with the same matte or suede sounds better than 'flat' black. Have you any thoughts on mirrors that I may have missed?
I personally like the low profile mirrors like these....

Ant progress?
http://hollywoodhatesme.files.wordpr..._namibia_l.jpg
Looks like the ants have made good progress!
Man, I know it's been a while. Works been killing me. I think about the truck everyday and I got a little progress to show. Stripped the cab down to the last bolt and painted it myself, John Deere Blitz Black. It came out really nice for my first paint job. She's starting to look like a truck again. Stay tuned...work on the truck should pick up in the months to come...
Cancelled the order for the harness from brothers, going with Painless. They look like the only one to utilize the stock bulkhead-style connection on the existing hole in the firewall...correct me if I'm wrong...
Nice to see you are finally making some progress looks to be an awesome build. Get after it and good luck!!!
Hey Justin, I must have had a brain fart or something when I didn't recognize you on that other site and asked you about having a build thread. I'm used to thinking of you in the driveway shot rather than the last couple of pics in the back yard. Those I can relate to.
yeah, my wife got tired of the project being in the driveway last year, go figure...
We own the lot next door but it's been a swamp for the past 3 years. Last year, i had a total of 120 yards of dirt, or 10 dump trucks full, delivered and spread to bring the elevation up. Now i have a place to park my toys. Slab should be framed and poured next time i'm home and I plan to build a metal shop(fingers crossed). It goes without saying that will take away from the "build money" but it will be worth the wait having shelter from the elements...thx for watching

That thing is gonna be SICK!
I LOVE THOSE SEATS!!! Where did you get them?
Thanks, the seats are from http://discountvantruck.com/truck40-...seatsLotus.htm
The have adapters for many trucks and they fit perfectly.
A little pricy, but completely worth it IMO. Many styles to choose from...
Got my Painless Harness in. I'm building a 16 x 24 workshop on my spare lot so I can do this thing right from here on out. Work on the truck should be a little slow for a couple months because that will consume most of my time.
Also, I'm thinking about the Wilwood rear brake kit. I just stumbled upon it last week. I had no idea they offered a bolt on disk kit till then. It's around $700 for everything including pads. LINK

Very Nice!!! I think you doing everything just right. The length of time it takes isn't nearly as important as the attention to detail. at the end of the project you will have something you can be proud of and honestly say you built it yourself.
Thanks Country. I got tired of fighting the rain and using tarps for everything so I built this during my last 2 weeks off from work.

I'm going to tackle the wiring harness when I get my next 2 weeks off...
