Haven't heard of doing that yet. Leaving the TC in 4WD means it will will still be spinning, creating a little bit of power loss through the driveline...

I launch in 4hi and hit 115.... The week part in these trucks for the front is the tie rods easy to bend... They make sleeves for them or u can buy after market tie rods that are like a 1/2in thick I think.. Then they have some with hime (sorry about spelling) joints ends not the ball joints... If u go watch the 09 camaro vs 05 silverado thred that's me doing my 4hi and u can see that the wheels toe in on that launch ill be getting the after market tie rods cause their either going to bend or snap if I keep launchn it like that hope that helps
Maze, ever looked into the Cognito steering braces? Those along with some stout sleeves and some QA1 double adjustables made a world of difference on the front end for me. Also kept me from throwing my alignment out every trip to the track. I would guees you are high 11s with the 115 trap speeds?
o i have no idea never been to track was just out playn around and we had a long stright and just kept going.... thought he was wondering how fast is 2 fast for 4hi so i just threw in the week parts of the front end for him if he wants to launch in 4hi... the cognito makes the tie rods also dont they?
