What is the bulb size for the cluster?
They are 194's
You were exactly who i was hoping would answer!!!
Hah
On your gauges....yours are LED's correct?
yeah I got the 4bulb WLED-194s in mine. They are nice and purty blue
Did you try white also? Or just the blue?
Yeah ive got the white led bulbs in the console sitting in my truck. I usually rotate after the bulbs start to go bad. I like the white, only thing I wish was that my cluster didnt was the variety of colors
Ahhhh I see. Do you think red would look good behind a stock cluster?
I doubt you would be able to see anything. White is the best looking because the stock cluster is hard to show any light what so ever. Red is the lowest on the spectrum so not much light would be shown. It would be pretty dull
Hmmm
You think it would be the same for an escalade or some other non-stock cluster?
If not then im just gonna do blue!
Im not really sure about the escalade cluster. The bad thing about these clusters and the way the lights are made and placed is that there are hot spots.. So i dunno about red. I mean the blues i think are right next to the white on the spectrum and the blue on mine have some hot spots
What do you mean ''hot spots''?
Its not like I cant give it a try...where did you get your bulbs? What did they cost you?
My gauges look a lot brighter then this, the camera was just not on it at the time. But you can see exactly where each bulb is placed and the "hot spots" on the cluster. meaning the light isnt necessarily evenly distributed around because of how the LED bulb shines

Stylin' Trucks Truck Accessories -- pickup truck, SUV, and custom truck accessories
Whats the difference between this and the one you showed me?
I was just looking at the site with the bulbs.... I saw a blacklight one on there... Do you think that would look weird or is that just me? Then again it might look friggen sweeeeet..
One pic proves Dave has the modern version of a CSer hat.
LOL
Takes me about five to ten min to take mine out, replace the bulbs, put back in.
Gauge LED Upgrage Instructions - GMFullsize Forums
I dont know of any differences, but thats cool because then you dont have to worry about reprogramming a brand new one if you get that. Its not too hard to change out the layout in the back
I dunno about blacklight, might be even harder to see lol
haha whats a CSer hat?
THIS :spit::tvhaha:
I knew it wasn't a real CSer hat but I wanted someone to ask. Only CSers wear 'em. LOL
David.... I was looking at the install for the bulbs and noticed that he says to order the clip thingys......
Gauge LED Upgrage Instructions - GMFullsize Forums
I was just wondering if you ordered them or if you just used the ones you have?
does your trans temp gauge in the cluster work?
Travis, we have talked about this. I would go with the white faced Escalade gauge cluster (stick on) with the Escalade bezel. If you can find some new needles, do that as well. Then get some red LED lights to back light it. :thumb:
Right. Im ordering it all tonight or tomorrow night...Im getting one of each color--minus white--to see how they work/look and ill let you know what happens.
haha wow.. yeah get pics of them.
