:)yeeepp....
whats the best thing to use for lubrication when putting this on?
put it on dry.
I always put them on dry. I warm the center up with a propane torch and then slide it on as far as possible. Don't melt it, just warm it up so it will fit over the crank.
Yeah, use a propane torch--but heat it for like 3-4 minutes, evenly distributing the heat around the inside bore. After about 3 minutes of heat time, quickly shove it on the snout of the crank--it should go on about 3/4 of an inch or so. It only needs to go on about 4 full turns of the crank bolt. You need about 4 full thread turns on the crank bolt to insure you seat the pulley correctly.
put me on the list for when you get some more!
Thanks,
Chad
will this work on a v6 or no?
The alt. Pulley will...not the crank though...the alt. one doesnt really dooo thaat much though...
Hey Eric - I have some tires you might be interested in. :)
LOL, oh yes I forgot about those tires.
No, not for V6. PM me if you need one for it.
Do you have anymore of these?
do you know if they fit nnbs 5.3
Still out of stock, ASP is moving right now so could be mid summer.
Yes they fit the 07+
hey guys i bought a 90 inch belt and when i start the truck it starts to squeel and the alternator pulley gets really hot really fast and small pieces of rubber start to come off of it. any suggestions?
Is there something wrong with the alternator bearings? Sounds like too much friction.
not sure how do i check them?
Its your tensioner probably. Look for the pully that isnt spinning . If the pullies are still spinning, the one that is the hottest ( I did the water drip test once) is it. Or you can take the belt off and inspect each pully.
will these fit a gen IV 6.2?
well guys a 90 inch belt is to big i meaused it with a flexible tape and that what it came out to but its just to big... i can get pretty much anysize at the auto parts store. should i just keep going down an inch until it stops slipping on the alternator? i think an 88 or 89 will work good....
4060900 (serpentine)
040345 (a/c)
Thats the numbers I have for the belts..thats with UD pulley, a 145 amp alternator and OD alt pulley though. I'd say w/o the 145 amp alt, the belt should need to be 1" smaller.
Wondering if you got any of the pulleys now
PM me if you have more kits!
hello any kits available? also is the alternator pulley a overdrive one or can you get a overdrive alternator pulley? thanks bryan
I haven't gotten any alerts from this board. I'll order more up here shortly, probably within a week. They'll still come with OD alt pulley, crank bolt, etc.
PM ME or email
