Congrats on four years :thumb:
Sorry to hear your woes over the nitrous damage. Get ready for the worst, you've obviously leaned out the engine and made junk of your engine. You have a good reason to buy a 408 now.

Red, is that a familiar feeling :tantrum:
and how :whack:
Gabe, you can't run platinum plugs and nitrous as the platinum acts as a catalyst and heats up real fast melting the ground straps to where you loose spark. There should be a small round button on each ground strap between it and the platinum tip, hown many are left? You might have blown a hole in one of the pistons. You could have done a compression check on each cylinder to save you a little time. Is there aluminum on any of the spark plug tips? They look pretty damn dry so like Greg said you probably leaned it out.
Thanks all for the Congrats on the 4 years....that's a matter of resistance, so I'm trying to jog all mornings to build more of that LOL Marriage is not a 1/4 mile, is a million lap race !!!!!!!!!
Yeahh, I'm will have like the largest paper weigth on my desk.Quote:

Don't saiy I told u so, please !!!!!!! I have learn it the hard way.
just one plug melted. plug 2 bank 2. I just checked the compresion on all cilinders and is about the same. 145.
No aluminum on the spark plugs or in the heads. only oil pan. show you what I took out last night by the oil change plug. right now I'm taking the oil pan down just to see.

I THINK YOU WILL NEED TO TEAR DOWN THAT MOTOR IF YOU HAVE FOUND THAT MUCH METAL IN THE PAN.
I CAN'T TELL WHERE IT IS FROM? IS IT A PISTON SKIRT OR A PIECE OF A BEARING?
JAMEST
Update.....
Proceding to remove the front part. I'm thinking on a Cam walk..can this happend on the LS Gen III ?
Send pics later
Nope, there's a steel plate to prevent cam walk. Looks like piston pin bore materials, maybe.
Thanks for the clarification.Quote:

Now, If it was form the pin bore (that has a lot of sense) will that leave marks on the block skirt, been the piston rocking from side to side?
Just have to check on something
Nope, won't leave any marks on the bores until the piston pin breaks out of the piston bore.
