hell me and danny (sprayed99) did my cam and springs all in one evening..... it really doesnt take that long if you really get after it... took us 6 hours and thats with quite a few breaks and a couple complications in between.......
i would say $500 is reasonable if you have someone else do the work..... its not that difficult when it comes down to it
We have done cam and springs for $300.
tell ya what... you drive to dallas and we can do it for 500 out the door
3000? Was that parts, labor and tune?

I'm a little lost. Or confused. On LS style heads you don't have to set the springs at a certain height? You can just bolt them on and be done with them?
there is suppose to be an "install" height but ive installed my Patriot duals with no extra shims or such.
what year motor is this? i have a write up in my 94 chevy progress in the LSx conversion section. its easy as hell man, i pulled the cam, the springs an put it all back together in 5.5hrs by myself an few air tools.
if you was within a 2hr drive id come help you an itd cost you under 20.00 for labor
