Just throwing a curve ball in here Allen - Since most guys run a tight intake/exhaust duration (220/220, etc.), I'd like to see what a larger split duration would dyno at. A biased request obviously since I'm one of the few running that large of a split (218/228), but it would be nice to actually see numbers and have some real time proof of how a large split duration affects hp/torque. Futral said when running stock manifolds, the larger duration would actually help dispel the exhaust gasses and make up for the restrictive factory manifolds.

If your springs will handle it and I haven't sold it yet, I'd be willing to ship you my turbo grind cam so you can see how it works on that N/A 5.3L engine. The specs are in the for sale section.
how about doing this test on 6.0's as well i want a cam eventually, but idk what to get, i want a mild to moderate cam something that idles fairly rough but doesnt die, i want mac performance any suggestions here guys? links? sorry to jack the thread
im doingmy install tomorrow night on the cam so hopefully i can find my camera (since i lost it) and ill post up how it goes....

Thanks guys, I'll probably start with a 212 grind and end up with a mid 22x for the most radical. If time permits, we'll go as high as 230.
I like the idea of 112 vs 114. I think the power band will be very similar, however, the looser lsa will pick up on the topend just a bit. We may do that test as well. This comparison will probably be on a 220grind.
Keep'em coming.
thanks,
allen
mine is hte comp 216/220 .525 .532 on 114
Allen, I'm a little curious as to what will happen when I run the 110 cam I have. It was cheap, so I'll put it in and see what I get. Its a 228/232 .588 .595 110lsa. I think it may be a little big, but I am doing 4:10s and a 3200 Vigalante for a while until I get a big motor ready along with the turbo. I would love to have some heads done, but I want to see if I can be the fastest cam only LS based truck.
