how much clearance from the rear/top of the engine to the back of the firewall? would you not be able to get someone to make you a piece of steel like an inch thick or maybe less, like a spacer to put in between the mounts and the engine? and then just use longer bolts? or would that not work?

At the most there is an inch clearance, and that is really pushing it. You can tell the motor needs to be lifted some, there is no room to go back any

so adding like a 1/2 inch spacer inbetween the mounts and the motor wouldnt work? how much do you need before the oil pan clears the cross member?

i could of sworn someone mentioned using a 5.3 oil pan instead of the factory one on the 6.0. have you looked into that at all?

AFAIK they both use the same oil pan.
