I'm not sure, the wife is wanting a new Tahoe. She might get the new vehicle before me. I really like the new body style and the Avalanche finally has alot more difinition to it. Hmmmm, New Avalanche w/STS? I"m gonna have to wait and see what happens.
Congrats!
I wish I could have done something like that, butttttttttt being I live in the peepholesrepublicofcaulifornia-
SMOG NAZIS woulf flag it. :nono:
anyway :thumb:
The smog nazies would give you a free pass. They appreciate how much cleaner your engine runs with an LS1 than the 91 engine. Here in Dallas/FtWorth we are required to pass emissions testing regulated by CARB. My truck passed with flying colors just a couple weeks ago. It was waaaaaay cleaner than stock. As long as you keep the stock smog equipment on your truck you won't have an issue. Contact a referee station and find out what you can and cannot do for mods. You can add any 91 and newer engine to your truck as long as you follow their recommendations.

I'm sorry,
I was talking about a whole state who should not be aloud to vote do to the state voters incompetence, the law states it has to pass the year engines smog emmissions with its smog equipment ,not the vehicle unless its going into a vehicle pryor to 1972, regardless.
Hey yello91silverado, My truck was supposed to pass the same way. Your truck is pretty low like mine so maybe they won't look under it either. Most of these inspection places rely on the rear 02's to code out if the cats are bad or removed. I disabled all of the items that kept the check engine light on and I was able to pass with no problems. They even said the new motor showed better readings than any of the 97's with smog equipment. I'm not running any air injection, rear 02's, fuel purge canister, etc...and I live in a pretty strict area. We have to get anything older than OBDII dynoed for a sticker.
Well I hope it passes,
they are so anal here that they even test the gas cap!
I still have to get the speedo working and this dakota interface it not working , but once it passes I will slowly start modding it. your truck must be a blast to drive! :thumb:
I like indiana, no tests what so ever.
Nitrous, good work. I want to see some pics of those a/c lines when they are done. I ended up doing the same as you with my a/c. Lots of time and work but worth it. Thanks for the advice. Ryan
