:duh: Hey guys tell me if you think this would work. OK we have thought about using sbc headers and mating them to LS flanges. What about using BBC truck headers? The have symetrical exhaust ports too, so maybe it would be easier to mate them with LS flanges. Whatta ya think?
I think that is a viable option.
Been doing some reading and it seems I'm not the first person with this idea. :tantrum: But what I've learned is BBC header primaries are spaced on 5" centers, while LSx are on 4 3/8" centers. There are LSx flanges on ebay from $60-$90. You can weld one primary up to the flange without modification and then the others would only need to be manipulated by 5/8". I don't think that would be too hard,you could probably move it that much by hand, clamp it, tack it in place, and then weld it up. That's my theory anyway. So who's gonna be the first to try it :smile: .

I would try it but my bank account is dry right now. LS2 heads are punishing me. :whack:

The bore centers are spot on with the LSX engines, I have seen a few guys modify 302/351W headers to fit with pretty good success. Well the only problem with that idea is we drive Chevy trucks. What long tube header for a frod is gonna fit a Chevy truck? I know what your sayin about the port spacing but it's the rest of the header that we are having trouble with, otherwise we could just buy some LT's for a '99 & up Chevy truck.
Yeah, it's a tight squeeze with headers designed for our trucks. I'd have to see one already installed to believe it's possible to use the fraud headers.
