The passenger side will lift up under torque. If anything the header will get smashed down more when the load comes off the engine.
I just went and checked and it definitely torques to the pas. side.
Yeah, back in the day GM used to have a cable they would attach to the passenger side engine mount in the extreme HP engines. They figured drivers would break motor mounts like clockwork.
Couldn't you use the swap headers for an LS1 into an s-10?
Who makes those? Hooker makes them for the old V8 config but not the GenIII engines.
