Check into an "add a leaf". It will give you about an inch to an inch 1/2. We did that on a tahoe once and it was easy and cheap. About 60 bucks.

THe add-a-leaf option might be good since you haul your bikes in the truck. That way you won't be bottoming out all the time when loaded. Mine bottomed out quite often with the flip kit. I had an airbag system ready to go into it before it was stolen. The front end wasn't a problem with the light weight engine.
Alright damnit make up your minds!! lol You're talkin me out of it now. Yeah and I'm havin trouble with wheel hop if I get traction (which is only when I punch it from a 20 mph roll) so the add-a-leaf might help that out as well
motoxlifer, do you have active shocks on your front end? If not this could be the answer for you to. I'm gonna have a 5" drop in the front and I haul all sorts of crap. Just another option. Go with your gut feeling, that way you you can't blame us! LMAO J/K
m otxlifer, your name isn't Nick by chance is it? I got some pics from a guy at a dealership that installed the S&P headers but had problems on the passenger side. I was just wondering if that was you.
OK first what are active shocks? I have Belltech nitro drops up front. My name is Craig, but yes S&P claims these headers will fit without issues but they don't. I had to grind the ds a-arm and beat the hell out of one of the tubes on the ps, and double gasket both sides. At first glance they looked as if they fit with some minor grinding to the a-arms, but when I started it up there were major leaks, like the bottom of every cylinder. I think part of the prob is I may not have used the right motor mounts so the motor sits too low. The wierd ass 4 bolt collectors suck too.
You got the active shocks, so there goes that. As far as the headers, S&P said they would tack weld the headers and send them to me for fitment and then send them back with any adjutments for bend.
That sucks about their headers. Did you buy the G-body set? They swore to me that they bolt right in without modifications. Their flanges are supposed to be some of the best. I guess I may have to do something else for headers if they can't do any better than that.
This guy nick warned about the headers Greg, even with their 5/8" thick adapters they hit. My concern is the shipping cost back and forth to get them to fit!
BTW, He bought the G-Body set.
Yes they are the G-body headers. They told me on the phone that they would fit, but like I said some but not all of it could be due to my motor sittin too low. I pulled a 4.3 out of the truck and reused all the stock mounts with the adapter plates. Is that what you guys did? We're gettin way off topic here. Oh well
We used the same style engine mounts that S&P sells for swapping LS1s into older V8 vehicles. NITROUS actually made the set I have in my truck.
