Thanks everyone for a solid welcome response. This is great, new friends and I haven't met anyone in person yet. Hopefully will be soon. I have rental properties that keep most of my free time occupied right now, but only for a week or so more. As Allen said, I need more mods. I looked at some heads the other day Allen. It may be sooner than I had thought. I am running 5- 6.5 PSI and I can light the tires up. It is set up to run 10 PSI. I will make that adjustment soon. Oh yea, did I mention better gas milage. A whopping 75mls. more per tank in the city. I can't believe it. I have not taken it on a trip yet, but on the way home from Allen's house to Smithville it only drank a 1/3 of a tank. Milage doesn't make me happy as Horse power. I am in favor of HP!
Thanks Everyone,
James T.

Speaking of burnouts, I just got done with another HD, an '04 and it did a huge burn out the other day. He nailed in first, burned out, shifted to second, burned out, then leveled off, then hit third  and kept burning out! He's coming back and we'll get a video of it!Quote:

James, let's do it! I'm sure we can get 450hp easy to the wheels with 10psi and heads.
Also, that's awesome on the mileage!
see ya soon,
I'll let you know Allen. I'm going to try the cheap way first which is the boost to 10 PSI. I'm sure it will not be enough, knowing me. I'll get the info. on the heads and let you know to see if they are of good quality or not.
Cam? Like smooth idle, any out there? Would like to sound stock.

Hi James, glad you're enjoying it! Turbos are fun!!
Here are some pics of your truck install to show off.
Jamest Turbo
btw, this truck has the STS, intercooler, 42lb injectors, inline Walbro pump and made:
339hp / 400tq on about 6psi, it may have hit 7psi, but James can let you know if it's reaching that much boost.
For those with the older HD trucks, the frame is completely different than the newer half tons and newer HD's, so the STS intercooler doesn't fit. I had this intercooler made, it measure 28" long x 9" high. It keeps the iats right at 100deg under full throttle. The small cutout in the lower valance made a huge difference while driving and cool down time.
see ya soon James for 10psi! :burnout:

All,
Hello, my name is James. Allen has had my truck putting an STS turbo on it. I recieved the truck last weekend and it is GREAT. The truck is a 2000 2500 HD with a 6.0L and HDtrans 4L80e. This is a heavy truck, but now that the turbo is on it seens light as a feather. I have not got on it yet fully, but I know the power is there.
Allen, thanks for all your hard work!
James

WHAT PSI ARE YOU RUNNING? IT SOUNDS LIKE WE HAVE ALMOST THE SAME SETUP. I AM ONLY RUNNING 5- 6 PSI RIGHT NOW, BUT A QUICK SWITCH AND IT WILL RUN 10 PSI.
