I agree with sheep on the caster. It can get you everytime. If the guys aligning with the new Hunter machines, get a print out of the alignment so you can see the camber/caster readings. You can also get some more of your questions answered with that sheet. A stuck front caliper can also cause a pull. Good luck bro!

I figured the tire splitting was a myth, but I figured someone would bring it up and sure enought some tires would split out for no reason and I would be to blame! Sometimes you can set caster like you said to compensate for road crown and make it work, sometimes it will pull the other way depending on which lane you are in. I usally like for my alignments to be somewhat neutral, which will follow the road but get the best tire wear.

Sounds like the guy who did your alignment was lazy. Did he test drive before and after? You should have recieved a print out. Look at your caster/camber.
eg.
caster LF 3.0 RF 3.0
camb LF -0.5 RF -0.5
or
caster LF 2.5 RF 3.0
Camb LF -1.0 RF 1.0
First example would cause a drift to the right (no compensation for crown) The second one Caster is good BUT there is 2 deg of Camber to the right and would pull like a bitch. I would assume that since they found a bad suspension part and you didnt have them fix it? They didnt set your alignment?

I think most guys don't understand alignments, if it is within specs, they are done. They don't care about a pull or if the steering wheel is straight. After all they get paid by the book hour.
