awesome. Ive been contemplating a swap of my L31 for something like an LS1 but im not sure i want to invest that kind of effort into my SUV. Would probably rather get myself a little RCSB if i wanted a hotrod truck.

You said you programed vss outputs for the speedo, cruise, and radio. So you assigned empty pins on the ECM to give the 4000 clicks per mile? Im looking hard at this setup for my tired 96 so im trying to at least plan alot of computer related obstacle now way before I get down to work.

Great website PSWired :thumb: . I have a 95 305 2wd that I am that will be going under the knife soon. Unfortunately, I don't have a 6.0, but the 5.3 will be a welcome transplant.
I have a question regarding the instrument cluster change you mention on your website. Does the new gauge cluster have the higher RPM tach? Did you have any problems switching it over? Any rewiring necessary? I know that when I get the 5.3 in there, the tach will peg before the thing shifts, and I don't want to put an aftermarket one in. Going for the sleeper look.
I like to refer to my 95 as the bastard child of his generation, since it has OBD2 looks with OBD1 brains. :sad:

You could keep the stock tach and use a divider so that 3000 on the tach is actually 6000. Bakerelectronix.com sells a unit that will do that.
