No till I was 19/20 years old. Sorry for the miscommunication. Not really sure on the mileage though we never checked the thing just filled the tank at 1/4

I get 14 MPG on propane and was getting 16 on gas

CNG has some draw backs though, the tanks are huge, my tank which is two 13 inch cylinders 32 inches long would only hold about 4 gallons of CNG where it holds 26 of propane but CNG is a little easier to tune

There are two different type of propane systems, liquid and vapor. If it was a vapor system power would be about 40% less however with a liquid system like mine its about the same power as if u ran premium gas, as liquid propane is the equivalent of 110 gas

Glad to hear of alternative fuels being used. I really have some hope out there. E85 turned me. I always heard the rednecks around my part hate on the 10% ethanol, but the more researching on fuels I did, the more I became interested.

Plus if you are injecting liquid propane into the combustion chamber, as it changes phase into a gas from al liquid, the charge temp goes way down, allowing for more power.
