Welcome a board! What times do the camaro & chevelle run?
thanks for the welcom! well, there's not a very straight forward answer for that.
when the picture of the camaro was taken, it had a 370/th400 in it. it ran a best of 10.76@126 at 3450lbs and i ran it in a local 10.90 class. since then i hurt the 370. i also wanted to start street driving the car more, so i swapped in a junkyard 5.3 bottom end under my good heads/cam/intake from the 370. i also swapped in a t56. my only times with the 5.3 are from a hard tire race we had locally (must run regular street tires, DR's and slicks prohibited) and i had a bunch of weight in the car, so it was pretty slow, lol. 12.70@113 at 3700lbs. once tuned in and on slicks and i pull the weight back out, i'm hoping for 11.7x's @ 117ish. the 370 just came home from the machine shop yesterday so i'm excited to get it back in the car. the updates on that motor should have it go 130mph.
the chevelle is more of a cruiser and a project for my wife and i to spend together as the car is hers. as of now it's just a stock 5.3 with an ls6 cam, 2500 stall'd 700r4, and a set of 3.36's. i will run that car at some point, but it won't see track duty like the camaro does. if it goes mid 13's as of right now, i'd be plenty happy, lol.
Welcome to the site. What part of Maryland are you in?
going to stay with my wife's folks in catonsville for a little while, then try to get something a little further west. will be moving in a month.
Thanks man. It's a fun ride (the camaro). The chevelle is still several years away from being really presentable, but we're pumped about getting it driving and reliable.
Welcome to the site from texas.
