ls9 cam in 5.3l worth it?

You'd be better off with an LS6 cam.

The last truck I tuned with this cam in it, felt decent up to 4500rpms, then was a dog after that.
Similar to the other two, had the same feeling and characteristics.

There are mild cams out there that work well with or without chargers, but this one doesn't.

I made the mistake of putting a cam geared towards FI in my truck because I had plans of going with a turbo set up...eventually...

Does my cam (219/230 .607/.604 117+2LSA) perform well in my truck. Yeah its better than stock but it moved the power band way up and I have definitely left a lot on the table with this cam. A cam swap is really easy and I bet you that you will change your mind about the direction you want to take the truck 1023490857 times before you get it where you want it to be so put in a cam that will make it run well now and swap it out if you need to down the road.
